How do you know if you are experiencing signs of hormonal decline?
–
The sad reality is that most people experience symptoms of declining hormones a lot earlier than you might think! Women start making less sex hormones in their mid 20s and Men’s hormones typically start to decline around age 35. Most people will begin to develop symptoms over time, until they get to the point where they feel like something is wrong with them. Because this progression occurs slowly, it is often missed or not discussed during routine medical appointments, but instead is accepted as a normal and part of aging.
Just because it’s normal, doesn’t mean you have to like it, and it doesn’t mean we can’t help you do something about it! Are you ready to live and age healthier?
In 2019 Compass Customized Health & Wellness started out as Compass Hormone Health LLC. We were the 1st in NH to be certified to implement the bioTE Hormone Optimization Method. Since then we have specialized in providing hormone management to help our patients to achieve optimal hormone levels so they can feel better and age healthier.
Blood Level Testing
We order certain hormone blood testing to evaluate each patient’s hormone status. We offer lab review appointments to help patients understand their health status and challenges. We discuss “optimal” levels and how they can impact your system. We monitor labs at least yearly to make sure your levels are balanced & adequate.
Comprehensive Approach
We also check labs that assess specific nutrient levels so when we create your customized treatment plan, we can address how well your body can metabolize your hormones and provide you with energy. We will discuss diet, exercise, supplements, medications and compounded Rx options that are available to help patients meet their goals.
We offer bioTE pellet therapy for men, women and transgender individuals. Our specialty trained providers are adept at managing thyroid, reproductive and adrenal hormones to help with chronic fatigue, mood difficulty, poor sleep, weight trouble, low bone density and muscle mass, elevated cardiovascular risk, brain fog, low libido and more…
Our pellet therapy uses bio-identical, all-natural plant-derived estrogen and testosterone, delivered by small pellets inserted just under the skin of your backside. Every time your heart beats, your blood rushes by the pellets and provides you with the hormones you are no longer producing as well as you used to. The pellets deliver a consistent level of hormones and outperform oral, patch, & topical methods. Bio-identical hormones result in less side effects & more health benefits
Did you know that everyone makes Estrogen & Testosterone? This is important because we have estrogen and testosterone receptors all over our bodies. These healthy steroid hormones are anti-inflammatory and help to keep your entire body healthy. As we age, we make less of these vital hormones, reducing the body’s ability to function and heal. For some people the decline of hormones can occur more quickly, or result in more significant or bothersome symptoms.

To become a Hormone Health patient, please see the forms tab above to access the new patient paperwork. Because we customize our appointments to each patient’s needs, we ask that you return the listed forms so we can review your medical history before scheduling you for your initial visit.
New hormone health patients are scheduled for the below series of appointments which allows for us to get to know and educate you on available options.
Visit 1: Hormone Optimization Discussion & Education (45 min) At this appointment patients have a chance to sit down with one of our providers who specialize in the BioTe Hormone Optimization Method. We review your symptoms and goals and discuss how bio-identical hormone treatment may be able to help you live and feel better. We will tell you about how hormone treatments work and determine if you are a candidate for treatment. It is at this appointment that your provider will order you applicable blood work that will be required prior to your next appointment.
Visit 2: Review Labs, Create Algorithm and Treatment Plan (30-45 min) At visit 2 we will review your labs with you and spend time entering your history, current symptoms and blood levels into our dosing software, which helps guide us in creating a customized treatment plan for you. We then discuss what your hormone and supplement doses will be if you would like to move forward with pellet treatment. We will also review what might occur after your procedure so that you know what you can expect and what you should avoid during the first few days after your pellet procedure.
Visit 3: Initial Pellet Procedure (30 – 45 min) We begin this visit by reviewing the procedure consent forms and discuss any questions you may have. Once all of us are ready, we begin the pellet procedure by numbing the treatment area. Once your tissue is numb, it will only take about 5 minutes to complete the pellet placement. After your pellets are placed, we will apply a small bandage to the area that you will take off at home in 1 week. Typically, there is no need to return to the office the next week, as the incision we make is small enough that we infrequently use sutures after placing pellets. Depending on your specific treatment plan, you will be provided with a lab slip to get follow up labs done between 4-8 weeks after your initial pellet.
Visit 4: Post-Pellet Follow-Up (30 min) A follow up appointment will be schedule 6-10 weeks after initial pelleting so that we can discuss how you have felt since starting treatment. We will review the labs you were ordered at your initial pellet visit and discuss if your levels are within the “optimal range”. Depending on your testosterone levels and how you feel, you might be offered a “free boost” of testosterone to help you achieve optimal levels so that you do not have to wait until your next pellet procedure to increase your dose. During this visit we will plan our approach to your subsequent pellet appointments.
Visit 5: RePellet #1 (30 min) Your first Repellet appointment will be scheduled 3.5-5 months scheduled after your initial pellet. We will briefly touch based on how you have done since your post-pellet follow up and determine if any changes to the plan we discussed are desired or suggested.
Subsequent “Re-pellet” appointments will be scheduled based on the BioTE method recommendations along with how your metabolism impacts your symptom management moving forward. Once your doses are stable, pellet appointments are quick and straight forward; but if you ever have questions or concerns, we are happy to schedule a follow-up appointment to discuss them with you.
